By Staff Reporter

Chief of Naval Staff Admiral Mohammad Nazmul Hassan urged all to work together to reap the benefit from the changes yielded through the successful movement by the student and public.

He made the call while talking to the media following a special meeting with local administration and law enforcing agencies at Bhola Circuit House on September 9.

The naval chief said the armed forces always were beside people, is and will be and they provide the civil administration with necessary assistance.

“The activities of the armed forces have been underway to maintain law and order of the country, they (forces) are assisting (civil administration) in other activities including recovery of illegal arms and will continue to support as many as needed following the government directives,” he said.

Expressing regret for the violence and anarchy marred in parts of the country post the August 5, admiral Nazmul said many did it to characterize vengeance or anger. However it improved over time.

He said such violence decreased mostly and it will reduce largely if the law enforcers escalate activities together.

Barishal Divisional Commissioner Md Shawkat Ali, Bhola Deputy Commissioner Arifuzzaman and Superintendent of Police Mohammad Mahiduzzaman, among others, were present.
